Once it was known in the community that she was on this project, she received letters, emails and photos to consider. She told a story about a lady that desperately wanted her to have a photo, but was not entirely convinced that it should be given to her. She started to hand it over, pulled it back; but, with time and trust, finally gave it to Anita. Arroyo Grande remains one of the most pleasant and safest environments to live and work and maintains much of its historic village commercial area with little change over the past years.
